Preschool Easter

It's Easter party time at preschool! After Ellyson got dressed, I realized her black shorts looked a little awkward with her Easter tunic. So I whipped up some ruffles for the shorts, to pull the outfit together.

The boys at their party. I had to tend to my class events, but was able to pop in and out of the parties for my kids. Nana came to help, and was able to spend more time with the kids.

Ellyson and her BFFs. Sadly, these girls are off to three different elementary schools next year.

Dobson Easter 2016

Yesterday was our annual Easter gathering with Jack's mom's family. The kids had fun hanging out with our family's "plus one" (Jack's cousin Rachel), and then hunting eggs in grass as tall as Grant and Graham.

Soccer Week 2

Soccer week #2 is in the books, and both kids did great!

Ellyson's team

Keeping up with her teammates!

Goooooooal! She scored her first-ever ... and then second goal ... and then assisted on a third (leading her to tell us that she scored three). Her team came out on top, though official score is not kept.

Carter's team on week 2

Carter had some great throws and did well running with his team.

Leading his team ... they won by like 10 points today.

Say "Ice Cream!"

We joined some friends this week to partake in Dairy Queen's free cone day. Our kids love ice cream!

She's Not High-Maintenance

Not at all.

GMOM Spring Party

Last Saturday after our opening soccer games, we had the Mothers of Multiples spring party. I am wrapping up my first year as club president, and will be heading into my second year this summer. Woohoo?

Opening Day

Saturday was Opening Day for spring soccer.

So far, outdoor soccer is going so much better than indoor. Carter played one quarter as goalie, and didn't allow any goals!

Ellyson's team played against one of her BFFs. There's also a little girl on her team, whose older brother is on Carter's team.

Grant is happy to play with his action figures on the sideline. Graham is chomping at the bit, to play. So maybe next fall.

Fun On the Farm

Ellyson's pre-k teacher assistant owns a small farm, and invited myself and another teacher to bring our kids to visit. Last Friday, we finally were able to get all the kids and bring them, as it was a school holiday for our county.

Her farm has a bunch of goats (13 babies, including two born the day before our visit), chickens, ducks and roosters.

Carter helped collect chicken eggs.

Ellyson helped bottle-feed a baby goat that isn't being acknowledged by her mama.

Grant and Graham made themselves at home. They especially liked the chickens.

Now all my daydreams involve plopping a farm-style house behind a few acres of goats and chickens.

Goats

Favorite picture from my three-day weekend with the kids (Get it ... Kids ... Baby goats?) haha.

Lots more to come on our farm trip and soccer season opener.

Church Dress

My handsome fellas before church yesterday!

Incidentally, that fella on the right is having allergy testing next week. This time for food allergies. His allergist gave him the environmental allergy panel almost two years ago (all negative), as part of our quest to determine the cause of his recurrent croup. We now have reason to suspect the culprit is dairy. We should know at the end of next week, if he's allergic to it.

Sweet Sleep

Sweet, sleeping boys! Well, one is sleeping. The other is just snuggling.

Praise Town

Our preschool hosts a makeshift town for the students during our community/community helpers unit. Parents set up pretend businesses for the classes to visit. Two years ago, Jack and I ran a flower shop. This year, he hosted a home builder center. It was really cute!

Other stations this year included a post office, a bakery, and a book store.
