Straight Outta Second Grade
I made his last-day shirt yesterday. I was stress-crafting. This style is all the rage in crafting groups right now. Another boy in Carter's class had this shirt, too, which Carter thought was cool.
His teacher and his class were awesome this year.
And now the kids are all home for the next ... 10 ... weeks. #helpme

She's Moving Up ... To Kindergarten
Preschool is a wrap for the year. After three years of being a parent of Ms. Kristi's class (above, with G&G), I won't have another!
However, G&G will be in the capable hands of these pre-k teachers.
The pre-k had a graduation last week. So cute! And I didn't cry! Our girl is so confident, but does hold a little bit of her parents' shyness.
She also still wants to be a nurse.
Unfortunately, of these 13 kids, Ellyson is the only one attending kindergarten at Carter's school. Thankfully, she adjusts quickly to classes with kids she doesn't know.

Grayson Day
They ran the mile in an official time of 8:41, which is 90 seconds faster than last year. (Jack runs at Carter's pace.) Maybe next year, Carter will move up to the 5K! Ellyson, meanwhile, wanted clarification that she won't have to run the race when she's in elementary school. Haha.
Catwoman
When your son wants nails like Catwoman ... Don't leave him with a dry-erase marker. I was actually impressed by how well he colored them.

Soccer Finale
So, soccer season ended last Saturday. The kids played seven, half-games between the two of them. Carter's team even played in the championship game for their age group! They lost, but were proud to be playing.
All four kids are signed up to play in the fall. Carter and Ellyson both move up in age groups. Ellyson will play on a team coached by a friend of ours. Grant and Graham will play on a team slated to be coached by Jack! Should be fun!

Rising Kindergartener
Ellyson registered for kindergarten today. Registration started at 4 p.m., but at 3 p.m. she asked if we could go ahead and go early. She was so ridiculously excited. She had a 25-minute interview with a teacher, but felt let down because they didn't teach her anything new. Haha!
T minus three months! Eek!
