Well, Carter turns nine months old today. He had his nine-month checkup almost three weeks ago, but we'll be back at the doctor's office this Friday for his ear and weight follow-up. Hopefully then we'll find out that his weight gain is back on track.
In the meantime, last weekend we installed Carter's big-boy car seats in our cars. We thought we were going to have to do this two months ago because he was on track to hit 20 pounds by Christmas, but that didn't happen. (See post on inadequate weight gain.) We're finally at a point where his body is so long and he is so close to the max weight of his infant seat, that we finally upgraded him. He still seems to be a little bewildered by the whole thing (even though he's been riding in a big-boy seat once a week for a month in Nana's car).
